Hello everyone! I have some very exciting news to share with y’all. At the beginning of this month, I moved to Montana!
As some of you might know, my other professional career is in outdoor education and adventure tourism (or, in less words, I’m an adventure guide). I have worked in this world since I was fifteen, and while it’s not the same type of calling for me as writing is, it’s still something I love and an integral part of who I am. My adventures have previously consisted of snowboard instructing, kayak guiding, zip line operating, and mountain bike coaching and racing, and I’m happy to say I’m going back to my roots in the west to snowboard instruct once again.
Some of you may be wondering, what does this mean for my writing? I won’t lie, working a not-really 9-5 seasonal position means I’ll have less time to put words on the page. I won’t stop writing, but I will be less active on my blog and my various social media pages so that my free time can be spent generating new works instead of promoting existing ones.
I hope (really, I know) that this next big adventure of mine will be just as inspirational as the previous ones have been, and I also fear I will not escape my curse of writing winter-setting survival stories any time soon. So, if you’re new here and just tuning in, or if you’ve been here a while and know exactly what I’m talking about–you can expect more surreal snowy adventure fiction from me in the future.
Thank you all for reading this far, and for tagging along on this adventure with me! I’ll be back, windswept and a little chilled, before you know it. In the meantime, and as always, stay awesome!
